Marijuana may undermine fertility treatment success

A study more than 400 women undergoing fertility treatment found that women who consumed cannabis were more likely to lose a pregnancy than non-consumers. Among the more than 300 women who had a positive pregnancy test, 54 percent of the marijuana users lost a pregnancy, compared to 26 percent of non-users. Among couples where the man was a marijuana user, 48 percent had a baby compared to 29 percent of couples where the man did not consume cannabis.
